Superintendent said with many still without power, no student will be penalized for missing instruction

West Linn-Wilsonville middle and high schoolers will resume distance learning Friday, Feb 19.

In a letter to the community Superintendent Kathy Ludwig said comprehensive distance learning, the district's online program and meal service will resume Friday. Limited in-person instruction will be canceled Saturday, Feb. 20.

She said the school day will be "incredibly flexible" given that many households are still without power or internet, and no student will be penalized for missing instruction.

Primary school staff will begin training and preparation Friday, Feb. 19, for the return to hybrid in-person learning scheduled to begin Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Ludwig thanked the technology, operations and food service staff for keeping buildings and meal distribution running during the power outages.
