The News-Times of Hillsboro and Forest Grove is looking features editor to manage our weekly arts and entertainment section, print and digital special sections. This is a full-time position based at our Forest Grove office.
You will work with our news team to write, edit and oversee design of our weekly About Town section, weekly A&E email newsletter, and the quarterly Washington County Arts Guide. You will also take the lead on print and digital special sections. Beat includes arts and entertainment, events, and features in western Washington County.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in journalism and at least two years of professional reporting experience. You will demonstrate excellent time management skills and an ability to write engaging, accurate stories on deadline. Although you will work with a professional photographer, you must be able to shoot photos for your own stories when needed. You will use social media to share your work and engage our audience, work well on deadlines, and demonstrate an ability to manage a flexible work schedule that includes occasional evenings and weekends.

The Contract Publishing Department at Pamplin Media Group, Lake Road is looking for a full-time sales associate to join our team. The qualified candidate will work with Chambers of Commerce and other clients to include: Tigard Chamber, East Portland, Happy Valley, North Clackamas, and West Columbia Gorge. Business Tribune twice weekly & OAME quarterly and Rose Car Races program magazine show publications are also included in this package. We are looking for a person with strong skills in print, digital and social media. If you are great in both written and in person sales and proposals, have a desire to grow, this position is for you. This position requires computer skills, driver's license and reliable transportation, but most importantly a "can do great attitude". The ability to work with a team is a must!
